Artistic perspectives on artistic freedom and democracy
What are the rules in art and in society? - To kick off the nationwide forums entitled “DIE KUNST, VIELEL ZU BLEIBEN”, a film team interviewed independent performing artists on the relationship between art, freedom and democracy on behalf of the Fonds freie Darstellende Künstler*innen.
At the beginning of the nationwide action week “EUROPE FOR THE MANY” ("EUROPA DEN VIELEN") organized by the action alliance DIE VIELEN, the fund publishes this stocktaking, which, like numerous cultural institutions nationwide, supports the action alliance itself. The questions and aspects raised here resonate in the program of the nine-part nationwide forums in Berlin, Leipzig, Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Berlin, Potsdam, Erfurt, Weimar and Dresden.
